My circle of friends, Arigato.

If i was given the liberty to choose a day that i'm happiest and declare it a holiday for remembrance, today'd be, 27th of June 2008. I have never been this content before, needless to say, i'm overjoyed, touched and filled with mixed feelings all over. Is this how you'd feel when you turn 18? Maybe yes, maybe no.

Let me tell you why my day's been awesomeness, except the fact that it's my birthday today. haha. Just when i thought this half term break is not getting any better, it ended up the unexpected way. When i say this, it means a good twirl from the unproductive-lazing-around-at-home week. hehe.

Halfway through lunch, i was startled by the dogs' fierce barks, like some UFO had landed or something. To my utmost surprise, it was Mich's car with Lingy, Haya and Azme. That instant, i almost went into tears, really. But i managed to suck it all up :p The rest of the day, i'll keep them to myself.

Now, let the pictures do the speaking.

The lovely ice cream cake they brought me, although it had melted :p

Wonderful mini Tiramisu that landed from heaven while i was out. jk. It was from our best driver, best female athlete, great friend and companion, Michelle Lim Jing Ling.

This day last week, a surprise advanced birthday wish from Nina J and fellow committee members, along with the perfect chocolate cake.

My goodness, three cakes in a week. I'm sure gonna gain a hell lot of weight! Despite that, I'm more than grateful to have my circle of amazing friends with me through all the ups and downs, childhood friends, high school mates, those i met along the way and most importantly, a great family that i'm blessed with. I have no regrets whatsoever.

To mention a few, thanks to:

My besties, Haya, Nina J, Lingy, Mich, Z, Jing Ling, Pei Ru, Fish, Cheah Wen and Qibah for their midnight/daytime text messages, wishes and surprises. Dk.Yatie(a friend i met through Haya), Anthony, Khairul, Ilyaa, Chea Hong, Zimin, Mei Ping, Chien Hao, Effie, Eezah, Yvonne and Wendy (a childhood friend of mine) for their birthday greetings. Family especially Mom, Ching Teng, Cheyenne, Joey and aunt Evelyn. Also, those who remembered and i've missed out. Arigato much. You guys are the greatest gift ever.

I had a blast! Couldn't stop smiling. teehee~ I have so much more to say but i'm afraid this post'll be never-ending. So here,

The greatest Gift,
in the end
was a family
and a Friend.
An ear to lend
a hand to hold,
and you all,
my Friend -
your heart of gold.
Turning 18 isn't that freaky after all, with all the love and joy that accompany me through.
One more thing, Happy 17th birthmate, Zakiah!
